I have a question about the French dub of Beauty and the beast because in English and in Swedish Lumiére speaks with French accent, how does it work in the French dub?

The only original dub of the 40s that I've heard it's Dumbo, but I preffer the new version with Roger "Asterix" Carel.
Roger Carel appears to be a active dubber in france, didn't he voice milou in french dubs of Tintin too?

If I remember correctly, they just speak with a specific dialect, like the italian singers in Lady and the Tramp where the singers had a dialect from the very south of Italy. I guess it's the same stuff there.

Precis som att vi skulle dubbat en svensk snubbe med Stockholms- eller norrländsk dialekt.

He voiced Milou only in the first serie of 50-60's "Les Aventures de Tintin d'Après Hergé". He was very active for dubbing, but he retired the last year  :)

Lumière no uses special accent in French dubbing, but sound very "elegant".

I just wonder, how is Ed Edd N Eddy in french?, It's Hillarous both in Swedish and English.

I watched a lot "Ed, Edd & Eddy", it was funny in French. I liked Eddy was voiced by Lionel Melet (the french Zapp Brannigan in Matt Groening's Futurama).

Hello, how is the french dub of Transformers? Have they dubbing both the movies and the series?

Mozeru

Hello. Yes, they dub the series and Michael Bay's movies. I never saw the animated series, I know than Francis Lax and Henry Djanik, two famous voice actors, are voiced Optimus and Megatron. I watched the first film in live action with an acceptable dub. Optimus as voiced by Jacques Frantz, the voice-over of Mel Gibson, Robert de Niro and John Goodman, and the new voice of Obelix in Asterix and the Vikings.

For fans of Disney dubs, here is a video comparing the three French dubs of "Lady and the Tramp" :

I preffer the second dub of my childhood.

That's sort of what I do with the Swedish dubs of Disney movies, although since I barely got any audio I've only done three:

I had already listened to the comparative of Pinocchio and Oliver. I found both dubs greats. In Pinocchio, I preffer the new voice for Honest John.

I just listening the Snow White comparative. She has an adorable voice in old dub ! I love it ! The second dub is very good, but I think I prefer the ancient version.

I agree, Snow White's voice is adorable in the old dub.
I just wonder, how do you judge swedish dubs since you can't speak swedish?

I listen and thinking the voice itself, his intonation. Although I do not speak Swedish, I think it is a beautiful language, very sweet, unlike Germanic language that I find low.

Like you judge the ones you don't understand.

Seriöst, tycker det var en rolig fråga  ::)

Jag gillade verkligen den äldsta franska dubbningen av Lady och Lufsen. Väldigt irriterande att den har tre franska dubbningar. Jag som tycker det är illa nog med två svenska.

I really liked that oldest dub of Lady and the Tramp. Exasperating that it has three different dubs. I think it is bad enough with two.

Det är inte särskilt svårt att bedöma en dubbning på ett främmande språk. Man har ju sett filmen på sitt eget språk så man vet vad de säger. Och man lyssnar ju på hur rösterna låter och inte vad de säger.

It is not very hard do judge a dub in a different laguage. Since you have seen the movie in your own language, you know what they say. And you listen to how the voices sound and not what they say.
Jag svär högtidligt att jag har nåt rackartyg i kikarn.
