The original Swedish 1950 dubbing of Cinderella was recorded at SF:s Råsundaateljéer.

I saw it, but the other source from the newspaper VG could not be read as it seemed to require a subscription; so I don't know what it says. And the first newspaper source only listed votes by group. But the pictures on Discogs state that the mother is played by Unni Evjen, just like the post in the Facebook group.

So the question is which of the information is correct...?

And is there any source other than Discogs on techniques? There, it is difficult to know if the specified techniques apply to the film dubbing and/or to the re-recording of the narration for the disc (which I assume exists, even if I have not heard the Norwegian LP disc).

The VG newspaper requires to be at the Norwegian library to read it. The alternative is to be in Norway and request a copy of the article in question and they will provide it to you. VPN will not work unfortunately.

I looked up the source earlier today at The National Library of Sweden.

Dubbningshemsidan says Ivar Wahlgren is responsible for both speaking and singing for Tony. Is Carl-Erik Thambert the singing voice and Ivar Wahlgren is the speaking voice ?

A correction on that, I only added video to those clips and synced them to the (hideous) Blu-ray. I did not digitize them myself. The person who originally digitized those clips is 1980smannen (dubbnings_proffsen on Dubbningshemsidan.)

How would I get in contact with Susan to confirm this is true ? I'm never going to take a single claim on that website seriously since he's bad faith. He has made shit up in the past like the existence of a Slovak 1938 dubbing of Snow White, has harassed me in the past, and refuses to own up to his nonsensical actions against me.

This has to be a joke right ? You don't say "certainly" when making a website like that. Where did he find that information anyway ? I doubt it's sourced since Ruth isn't mentioned in any newspaper articles I could find.

@Daniel Hofverberg Hi ! I'm working on my Dumbo Swedish entry and found that you added some of the Swedish 1946 voices. Who or what was the source for this information ? I wasn't able to confirm who the actors voiced as there is barely any information about the Swedish 1946 dub as it's lost media. That and the newspapers barely document the specific voices. I was only able to find a list of the voices on the DVD release and the Swedish Film Database (SFDb) was the same. Thanks in advance !

Antz was actually released on Blu-Ray in Sweden as well as in the other Nordic countries.

Indeed ! Blu-ray.com didn't have the audio specifications for the Swedish version but had them for the German version and the audio specifications are the same between the two releases.

[Once Upon A Wintertime]

Hur ligger det till med inslagen Once Upon A Wintertime, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Reluctant Dragon, The Cold Blooded Penguin, osv. i Norge, Danmark och Finland? (alltså om de har dubbats vid de VHS/DVD-utgåvor som getts ut i länderna eller inte, och då menar jag typ Disneys Sagobibliotek, Musse Piggs Julsaga, Prinsen och Tiggarpojken, Härliga Vintertid, osv.)

Both Once Upon a Wintertime and Pablo, the Cold Blooded Penguin are available in Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish on a 2003 DVD release called "Disney's Winter Wonderland"

This is the Norwegian DVD, but the languages are the same as the Swedish DVD. Pablo was also dubbed into Swedish for the Swedish dub of The Three Caballeros as well.

I have definitely considered investing in Iceland as well, but the problem is, as you say, that it is very difficult to get hold of such. Sure, on Blu-Ray releases from Disney there are sometimes Icelandic soundtracks and then as a rule it says exposed dubbing credits - but Disney+ almost never has Icelandic soundtracks (I've only come across it in a few cases), and on other streaming services (eg Netflix) I have never seen Icelandic soundtracks at all. It is possible that RUV's Play service could include the occasional dubbed production with exposed dubbing credits, but then you would have to be significantly better at the Icelandic language than I am to be able to find these.

So where to get all the info, about all that stuff that hasn't been released on Blu-Ray with exposed Icelandic dubbing credits...? I'm only human, so I can't conjure up information out of thin air...

But do you have contacts within Icelandic distributors, who you know can contribute credit lists, or have contact information for Icelandic dubbing studios who are willing to provide information so I would certainly like to give it a try.

Most of the Disney Icelandic dubs are available on Disney+ in the USA. The problem is that most of them are missing their credits. The only way to track them down is to get the physical releases with the Icelandic dubbings. Some of them like Aladdin, I was able to find by going through newspapers from the time.

The lack of availability of the Icelandic dubbing credits has put a roadblock on including a few Icelandic dubbings on my website. Another problem is that they stopped including Icelandic dubbings on home media in 2019, so anything after that would require attending Icelandic cinema screenings. There are some cases like Ducktales for example, (while the movie is available in Icelandic) the series is not available in Icelandic at all on D+. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is not available in Icelandic at all on D+ either.

For some of the Dreamworks films like Shrek and Spirit : Stallion of the Cimarron, Netflix did offer them with Icelandic dubbing in the past, but since the Universal merger, they don't have them anymore.

Update : Wish was added to D+, but with only Icelandic subtitles and no dubbing. Might be lost media now.

Tack så mycket för bilderna. Märkligt att Blu-Ray-utgåvan helt saknar produktionsuppgifter.
Fast märkligt nog kan jag inte hitta åt fru Jumbos dialogröst på skärmdumparna. Vågar vi förutsätta att det är samma som sångrösten...? Hon har väl trots allt bara en eller två talade repliker förutom sångerna.

Ett annat fall där jag också saknar all information är den norska originaldubben av Peter Pan, som till skillnad från den svenska originaldubben har släppts på VHS. Det känns dock inte lika viktigt, då jag har uppgifter till omdubben (som används på DVD, Blu-Ray och Disney+).

I've found the original Norwegian dub credits for Peter Pan. From the Film & Kino magazine during the 1978 re-release. Hope this is helpful to you.
